it's wild going from Shomei congratulating Akane for her growth but chiding her for pushing herself too far physically at the end of last arc, to learning that Issho not only asked for Kaisei's promotion to be revoked, but did so after performing the same story Kaisei had just finished performing to get promoted

Akane and Kaisei have always kinda stood opposite each other in approach but this chapter really gets across how like, Isolated, Kaisei is compared to Akane. Akane has all kinds of people she can talk to about her struggles as she tries to learn and grow and Kaisei just has Issho who wants him to turn out just like him... I hope Akane gets to meet with her bros again soon......

also at this rate I fully expect Issho to die out of spite before Akane or Kaisei could get any kind of Revenge against him because he thought it would make their performances even a tiny bit better lmao

I make block prints sometimes, this chapter was great, if you have a phone that can set the screen to negative, go look at the page spreads of arakawa and the final page of the disciple and put it in negative, amazing work I have to learn how to incorporate style into anatomy like that, fuck.
