I've been waiting Months for those 3 pages lol, the Death reveal pages are some of the coolest in this entire manga and this is easily my favorite of the 3 we've had so far

we gotta see the rest of the performance of course, but on a visual level it almost feels like this Death is a successor to Shiguma's. The size and demeanor feel somewhat similar to his but the almost papercraft-like appearance is a fun spin to still make it uniquely "Akane" you know? Makes them feel more distinctly Otherworldly too which is perfect, I can't wait to see what Akane's voice is like through this Death

also getting some flashbacks to Maikeru's Shin'uchi promotion test between the return of the Eyes Staring panel (fun getting that after the anime's premiere yesterday with the eyes staring down her father at his promotion), and the way the start of Akane's story feels like it's in direct conversation with the audience and their expectations... hard not to get excited about it all lol
