love using the second Eyes panel to show all the eyes looking away from Kaisei, such a fun lil inversion of the pressure usually associated with that imagery
I want Akane to win this because she's my GOAT but it's hard not to wonder what Kaisei could possibly bring to the stage with the intense upbringing he's had as a rakugoka and all the build up going into this performance... break a leg, I guess!

Lmao, i get that opinion coming from a pure viewer, but these are people who have to be fans of the art form and not the artist. If they were there theyd have known how interesting it would be to have a pariah's apprentice come on to perform even if there was a prior performance. These people would be watching in quiet anticipation. And even then the colleague in the art form wouldnt be so dismissive. I dont get why the author writes any viewer or even some colleagues in this specific context as so undermining of the performers. Makes 0 sense.
