I think the dialogue font is good. The only concerns I see is not to go too much smaller, except for maybe the occasional side-comments between characters (the ones typically outside of word bubbles).

Seriously though, she asked for her freedom from the slave mark so that she could live her life freely, and she still can't take care of herself; she didn't even trust that she could name her child, and she would have left that roof torn open until another storm started flooding her house.
