whew I feel better now after freaking out for 5 min,, anyways,,, I look up to yona so much, she’s the best manga character imo: grew out from stereotypes (female, princess), became stronger physically and mentally, learned to value her people and is smart when it comes to diplomacy and combat. Sigh, I love her.

@jak You gotta reread the story. Soo-Won has been a very good king so far. He has united the country, revitalised the economy, pushed back enemies that were eating the country piece by piece. Of course a lot was achieved by Yona's gang, but as things go in monarchies, it will still be recorded as something that happened during King Soo-Won's reign. So far he also hasn't been a military maniac like his father. In fact many have tought he's too jolly and easy-going, even though he has done much good to the country, just not through brute force. Obviously Yona shouldn't forgive Soo-Won, but that's an entirely separate matter from Soo-Won's position as a king. Yona's personal matters aren't matters of the state.

By your logic Yona would be a disaster as a ruler as well, considering her father was a catastrophe. However, we know for a fact Yona cares for the common people and has risked her own life to help them, so she's nothing like her father who didn't give a shit about how many citizens were suffering out there, as long as the capital and the royal palace were living in splendor. Soo-Won is not his father and Yona is not her father.

You know, in this entire journey I've never imagined Hak would become a war hero. If things stayed the course as he had imagined, So Woon marrying Yona and ascending to the throne while he became a royal body guard, I could've seen it. @jak @Kendama I could see this, sort of. I think though that Kye Sook will see Hak is a hero, but not directly try to eliminate him. Instead, they might suggest that the dragons are a threat (claiming this war having proven capturing Yona is all that is required to make them comply with demands). So then use that as an excuse to confine Yona's group to one place, and try to control them, or something. That way they wouldn't anger the soldiers and make it seem like Yona's group is working for Soo Won.
