Ok, I read it with the song (nice heads-up, by the way), and the contrast is jarring. Simple, cheerful pop is not what I'd have chosen as the background for that dramatic scene, with Minoru about to break down. But it's interesting to imagine, I give them that.

Nah, standard Aitakatta just doesn't fit the moment. Maybe if you found a solo version, without the instrumental track.
It's just too cheerful.


Also Minoru is totally right to be scared and worried for his future at this point. I mean 4 years in AKB really doesn't get him a Job as a guy now, does it?😁

By the way, I wont translate the series anymore. Stuff happened. I didnt want to stop translating it all of a sudden without any notice. I think the other translation group is picking this up, so hopefully we'll see AKB49 fully translated! I really enjoyed translating it and wanted to finish the series in 2-3 weeks (this means that I was going to translate until 262), and with the pace I had (even though a translation takes about 7-8 hours) I probably could've done it. And to be honest, stopping mid-way through something annoys the shit outta me. But yeah...

Lastly, I really enjoyed refreshing the comments page everyday and seeing you guys comment, thanks y'all. I'm very sorry.

I entered this series a couple days ago just looking for an interesting crossdressing manga...and left with knowledge of AKB48 when I had never even heard of the group before...I've been enjoying the manga to a degree, hoping a group picks it up so that we can get the ending at least. I glanced at some RAWs but it didn't help much.
