The Yuri was very subtle from the start. It was only the setting that is similar to Yuri (because all girls and only few male characters). I love how yuri wasn't the main selling point. Wholesome female bonding + diverse characters + great character development + superb art + Akebi.
The author really took their time with introducing characters and their development. I wished the anime had more than 12 episodes. The anime felt pretty ordinary because it basically only contained the prologue. The climax was still a bit further and it was extremely well executed.
This series is like bromance, but with girls, so maybe sismance?
