The black background is to represent that it’s a flashback to the conversation they had at the end of chapter 80.

And I’ll be shocked if the kiss is anything more than a deep lip lock and some hugging. While some of us may have french’d and done some heavy petting (or more) at that age, I don’t think Hiro’s going to go there for these girls unless we get a time skip near the end.

Black backgrounds are used regularly for past events all across manga (also Manhua and Manwha). This manga does the same and has used black backgrounds to represent the past in a few other places (chapters 74-76 are almost entirely in black background and in the past, for example).

This scene is in black because it's now showing us what it didn't back then. We then shift back to a white background, signifying the present, and she's anxious about their promise of a kiss. There's no reason to assume it's a delusion.
