These devs needed a sequel to create an NTR route to the original Pure Love route. Meanwhile in reality, games are sometimes made with both routes in one, or two separate versions for each route.
Which reminded me of A Housewife's Healing Touch, which has both an NTR and a Pure Love route version. So it seems similar to that in a way.

You can't have an LI that is pure and loyal, if there exists an NTR route or something similar. Because that's now apart of their character by it simply being an option.

Players who want vanilla, don't want LIs that would cheat on MC, or that you have to constantly stop from cheating on MC (this is usually how it's done btw).

Those who play such games with "avoidable" in it, are almost never vanilla puritans, but those who dabble in some other form of niche genre (lesbian sharing + MC (they pretend this is harem to cope), sharing, Futa etc.), and they come up with some copium to ignore that obvious issue.

Basically, the non-NTR route and content isn't for player who dislike NTR, it's for the NTR players when they feel like something a bit more normal. (or as mentioned above, those who dabble in other more niche/extreme genres).

but looking at 2024 and beyond, it's probably worst than just ntr in the game industry

It sounds more like the MC got the bad ending of the 2nd game. And he's too much of a fool for his virtual harem that he couldn't get over it and play the 2nd game to it's good ending.
