I kinda wish the idea of the girl from the school who was with our mc from earlier was entertained it would've been less messy with a older sister kinda character I personally dont get why these two gotta get together in the story and why he can't just be her older brother.

idk, i think he grounded because he killed those rapist, but instead of going to jail, he got grounded instead.

Politically he HAS to be reprimanded in some way, even though in terms of influence and appearances he basically did the right thing and now the nobles know not to fuck with them.

The brother maintains his position as the head with a calm mind, MC is the power and ultimately honorable one, and the girl is firmly of House Phoenix instead of merely a trinket. They might be vulnerable to saboteurs trying to spark a conflict between the brothers, but as a family they are "perfect".

Yeah, the way he resort to extreme violence means he poses a danger to other people as well. But being grounded/house arrest also means he did it for justified reason and doesn't deserve any harsher punishment.

Not to mention the one he beat up or outright killed are most likely also part of noble household.

Whoa that didn't even initially occur to me but with this pacing it would make sense. He's going to do something really stupid in chapter 5 for sure, it may be enough to break her

The way he worded it, that he now could leave them alone and they'd be save and happy together, it seems clear to me that he still has growing to do and another loop seems likely.
The girl clearly likes him more than the brother and if he rejects her next chapter, that will probably trigger another bad end.

Only logical explanation for the pacing is, he is gonna loop again. We are just at Ch.4 and story is not so wide (setting wise) so its probably that.

You have to think about the circumstances of the world its set in. He's a court mage and part of a noble family. Regardless of the reason if he goes around beating the fuck out of people who also belong to noble families and suffers no punishment, it would probably harm the families reputation as a whole more than it would if he ended up grounded.
