I wonder how the original plot of the game is supposed to go if all the worst bits of the cast's backstory was changed. All the kids are alive, the villains from the church are dead and the hero is joining the family. Is the demon lord supposed to show up at some point? An evil god?

I'm imagining the original big bad showing up at some point and getting bodied by Grey, his seven children, his ex's squad of S-rank adventurers, and potentially more.

I forgot that this is an isekai

Honestly it's the best kind of isekai, where the protag is mature from his past life, and wants to make the world a better place. This is akin to a skryim run where instead of killing grelka the kind, you drag her by her hair to the yarl, do a fosrah dah in the middle of town, inform the town that the orphanage was mismanaged, drag her before the yarl of riften AND maven blackbriar, have her fired from her position, and spending tons of money to reform the orphanage, while sending all orphans across Skyrim there. We don't get that option in the game, because it's bethesda and the game would crash if we did.

Well Poor kid is gloomy because he got taken away from his friends and basically his family in the orphanage.
Now he doesn't know if his family is alive... after what he saw the church was going to do to Gray's family.
he basically is in despair.
I really hope that the orphanage is fine.. not burnt down and all the kids removed to hide the fact he came from there.

The Game Plot totally went from R18/T to G. All the "Romance" Character Options are still the same. But the MC won't be grim dark. Now it's a matter if the "game" tries to force the plot back.

Assuming a similar timeline, I would assume, the plot is still 4-8 years away. (Teen protagonists) I think the S-Rank Party Romance Options are no longer Romance with Gray around, only Long Term Partner variety. So the younger kids can slot in as possibly rookie adventurers.
