Indeed. The way the queen is drawn makes her look like a schemer in my eyes. Of course this is an otome game (villainess) setting series, which means things don't necessarily need to make any sense outside of the romance/drama aspect. Mobuseka is one of the best examples of that. Senseless stuff can happen purely to add to the drama. I just thought it was an interesting detail that has been present in other villainess series as well: a prince and the villainess were originally betrothed, which suggests a great relationship between the royal and the noble family, but then the prince blatantly betrayed the villainess and consequently also the noble family from which the villainess hailed from. Logically it means the relationship between the royals and that particular noble family is severed. Unless the villainess was a real psycho, of course, and deserved it, no matter how the case is inspected.
