this series does well in depicting patriarchical history in an infuriating but good way
I dont see where the patriarchy is.
You know that it's basic sience that women are physicaly weaker than men, so a woman using a sword will most certainly lose.
You know that in every war women get raped by mercenary or poorly trained soldier? So if a woman fought on the frontline, she will most certainly end up being treated as a sex slve until she die?
These are the reason women were not allowed to be soldier.
Exept for this there was nothing that could be considered as "patriarchy".
Diana's not oppressed, it's the opposite, she is more free than every other character.
Their mother is free too and do things on her own, just dont just follow her husband's order.
We were even shown that the queen have a lot of power.
People need to stop throwing "patriarchy" around as some kind of buzzword...
