I really love reading the artist's character design decisions on how they can best portray their type and personality

Maybe it’s because ive barely slept for more than 2 hours over the last few days but I had a very hard time understanding her conversation with Heathcliff

personally, I'd chalk it up to poor translation. the gist from what I understand is him questioning her on what is she doing in that building and why is she meeting some other dude

Just a warning: Don't get too attached to this series. The translator group, Art Lapsa, has a particular MO/habit:

1) They release 6-10 chapters of a work in a short period of time, usually focusing on shoujo and josei fantasy manga, especially isekai/villainess type stories

2) They stop posting here, because their actual goal is to make you go to their website where they have everything locked behind a paywall/coin-purchase setup. They are usually significantly ahead of what they post on Mangadex too. This series, for instance, is advertised on the page 1 splash/credits page as being as far as chapter 19.

3) Eventually they may even start deleting chapters here, either to take away their free work to further drive people to read on their website or possibly to start re-uploading the chapters again later on in order to catch more people via the font-page newest chapters feed without having to actually give anyone new content

4) From what I've read from other people who have explored their website, they will also frequently drop series they are working on there in order to pick up new ones. So ultimately they don't even finish the stuff that they've lured people to their site to read.

And then you add on that their translation work is extremely rough and smacks of MTL with minimal smoothing/fixing and their whole setup just feels really scummy and ultimately benefits nobody except themselves because they will manage to hustle a few people into giving them money for their shifty, shoddy work.

The best thing to do is to maybe see if a translator group that aren't sleazy dickheads would be willing to pick up the series and ignore the "sniping" concerns on the basis of Art Lapsa not being worth consideration.
