Got to remember that its japanese translated so it would be better pronounced as Sureiyā. Which is probably one of many ways slayer is written out. Though this way it sounds a bit more feminine.

Ya know I forgot to appreciate that this is an isekai from one fantasy universe to the next. I'm sure someone saved her world.

Her name reminds me of the mama loving guy from another isekai, his name is (according to TL at least) Demonio Traidor, which is traitorous demon in Spanish.

Japanese do the same some of us do with their language, they see a cool or edgy word/phrase in some other language and use it to sound cool, totally ok with that.

Bleach does that with spanish! Happens a lot yea. Was pretty amusing when bleach first came out cause my first language is spanish and its the first time I saw a mangaka use spanish as their cool language.

I would read that more like demon traitor or traitor demon, treacherous is more like traicionero.

I chuckled a lot when I watched Frieren, and every character, city, region, place, etc. had a German name. Since I can speak German (no, it's not my mother tongue), it was quite hilarious, and I found most character names fitting to the characters' personalities.
