Insanely good manga. Easily one of my favorites I've ever read, easily. I read the web novel a long while back, so I always knew what the ending would be, but found myself constantly thrilled at how this manga adaptation improved on the original written source to take it to a whole nother level. Truly perfect execution in my mind. Will be recommending this for years and years to come.

As nice as it is that this got a good ending the fact that Emi who was pretty much the driving force behind this whole thing is in all functionality dead.

Call me a pessimist but I don't consider full loss of previous self with no chance of them coming back style reincarnation endings as good endings for characters.

It's not them anymore really. It's a totally new person built on an entirely new foundation that was made out of the recycled scraps of someone who once was but will never be again.

While I understand the argument, that only makes sense if this was a story where you can't come back with your memories. In this case Emi was given the choice to retain her memories with almost no catch but chose not to anyway so she could move on. It doesn't make sense to say it's not a good ending just because she made a choice you don't agree with.

What an ending man. Right in the kokoro ;-;. Perfect way to end with both of them meeting but I WISHED we had the last panel with Emi reborn into the world playing with her older brother and Remilia. Now that would have been PEAK.
Really hope that the anime gets a good adaptation.
