Im going to try to make a guess as she later asked who gave her that necklace and assumed they had malice. She probably assumed it was an assassination attempt but didn't want to just call someone out as trying to assassinate the empress in public so she just called it cursed instead and expected the empress to just understand her logic because she seems to be dense when it comes to people's emotions.

I said this 2 chapters ago, but this really is ass. This is exactly the same stupid setup as the first couple chapters. Literally it's identical. She sees something wrong, says the worst possible thing in light of it, gets accused of being awful because of that, doesn't explain herself, and has to wait for someone else to dig her out of the hole she's put herself in.

If this was the first time this happened, fine I'd be annoyed and say the writing sucks for how clumsy it is, but I'd keep going. But to repeat exactly the same plot 2 chapters after the last time you did it shows that you're either profoundly lazy as a writer or just completely incompetent. The MC has it thoroughly explained to her that her poor choice of words and unexplained actions nearly caused her and her family's ruin, and now in the next time she's in exactly the same situation she responds exactly the same way with no awareness.
