The only thing of note is that the teachers, like every teacher of magic school ever, are completely incompetent.

If the commoner was good enough to be admitted, clearly someone with some clout in the school thinks shes worth teaching, do your god damn jobs.

If it was the old omega evil nobles trope of admitting commoners just to make them punching bags for nobles, then why aren't there more commoners, is an entire schools worth supposed to bully one commoner? No way right.

P.s. Usual commoners get in through recommendations but that doesn't mean that the nobles will like it(the recommendations are usually a formality and then they try to get their children to bully the commoner out of the school) at least that's the case in most of these types of stories
