I think it matters not what the MC does, the narrative is already broken because Aina ain't gonna do anything apart from using her magic to get a harem, which I hope isn't the case because...These guys are Mobuseka levels of stupid. The country would have been so cooked in their hands that it breaks the story, because the original novel wouldn't make any sense. I think the only thing that slightly saves it is that in the original novel, as told in chapter 1, Aina was only aiming for the prince and not going for a harem.
...it'd give more credence to drop the series.I'm going to give this series until chapter 10 to see if it can have some kind of a twist or a unique spin on the concept. Because so far this really is shaping up to be an pretty generic the villainess is good and the heroine is evil story.
Most likely the queen has her own intelligence network, considering the MC seemed surprised in that panel.Oh, her dad gave her credit after all?
Specifically, it was stated that Aina immediately jumped into her role as a Saintess and she and the prince naturally grew closer. This Aina is someone who's aware they're in a novel and just wants a harem. So the original story, while as unrealistic as most romance novels, wouldn't end up as bad as this reality would have without Cassandra being possessedThese guys are Mobuseka levels of stupid. The country would have been so cooked in their hands that it breaks the story, because the original novel wouldn't make any sense. Yeah, it's "fine" so far. I think the defining trait will be how the author handles her "villainess actions." Currently it's going the "fun" route of she sees herself as self-serving, but is gaining a following of people she's helped/saved who see her as selfless. It's been done before, but usually it's more comical oriented where the villainess is so bad at being evil she's just a good person, so this is kind of different as she's actually ruthless and calculating but people who benefit from her actions see her in a good light.I mean, in terms of the original setting (and it being a game), the whole concept of a Saint FMC who does things as intended would theoretically work.
The most probable pair up would be tying the Saintess to the ruling family at the time (which is the Royal Family) so the pairing would be a prince of appropriate age to be paired with.
This breaks apart because the Saintess is another isekai normie who is more focused on getting railed by multiple guys than doing what she was summoned to do.
if it was just the Isekai Villainess that was around, there might even be a path where she might take in the Saintess herself. After all, someone with the ambitions for the Throne wouldn't be so foolish as to disregard what the Saintess could do and represent for this world's history.
I'll admit that it is all a bit generic at this point. Not that there is anything wrong with it, to be fair, not everyone is chomping at every single bit of Villainess work and could pick-and-choose which one they engage in. If people like it, they like it.
There is that undertone of morally grey/black that the Villainess will undoubtedly yield and is already a set character in her own right.
One can say that this work is more of a story about how the world around this Isekai Villainess would change because of her already fully established self than seeing the growth of the Isekai Villainess.
Would I keep reading this? Sure, I'm curious enough to see how others around her will be changed/react as she continues on her crusade.
Is this something that will be praised as something amazing? So far, no, there is nothing that makes it stand out absolutely.
It is not "The Best Thing Ever", but it doesn't have to be. It just needs to be the good old reliable and consumable thing that you can bite into without worry.
MC also says the novel was "trashy". So i'd assume it wasn't very well written. These guys are Mobuseka levels of stupid.
