I'm also wondering now is whether the protagonist counts as one (with her memories of her previous life, even if it was in another world)—and whether that will matter in any way if so.

wait is there a smidge of BL in this series? Never mind, I see. I do wonder where they'll go with that plot point since they spent the time setting it up, I'm doubtful that they'll be so quick to sweep it under the rug. I do hope we'll see them together.
