looking at the MD translation, the title is "The Villainess Wants To Enjoy a Slow Life" - which does imply that it's her desire, just that the majority of the plot gets in the way of that.

Maybe the series ends with Edgar proposing to her/wanting to make her the Queen, and she goes "nah fam not my jam" and she fucks off to her ranch and rides (metaphorically) into the sunset.
