I think its more a "mechanic" of the game thats forcing her to "be the villainess" similar to how the heroine and the others were affected in Level 99 Hidden Boss.

to be fair - how many guards would it take to make him as safe as being in the proximity of Sylvie already?

There'd be no room to move inside the dungeon, at that point.

This is falling into the classic trap of most stories: Going past the end point.
This story should have ended with dealing with heroine and prince. That was a good, solid package. We're now spreading a story that already ended past its expiration point.
And yeah like someone else said, where the hell did the Slow Life part disappear to??
