Actually, the reason why the spin-off is on hiatus is because Momo Futaba-sensei has been sick since June due to overwork, but luckily she's recovering and drawing again. She said on Twitter that the manga won't continue until next year, but she promised to keep doing her best and take better care of her health.
Thanks for the heads up. I picked this up because I'm on a kick looking for manga with lady knights that aren't using them exclusively as the butt of rape/masochism jokes, and actually came to really enjoy it, so seeing it hadn't been updated in a while had me concerned.
No prob! Momo-sensei seems to be feeling better and is drawing again, but she didn't say anything about the next chapter. I'm sure she'll announce it once it's close to release. We'll announce it in the Elf Bride discord server too once we have some news.
I'm not much for novels, aphantasia makes it too hard to visualize and imagine, but I did blitz the entire manga series the past few days. Even in the mainline series, Barbatos and Chastille make a great pair. I think I prefer the smaller scale plotlines of this one, though. Barbatos and Vepar's girl talk was just too good.
I agree! They've such a great chemistry. And I loved Barbatos and Vepar interactions as well. They're a good pair.

It seems Momo-sensei said it will still take a while for another chapter to release, but JNC Novel will begin releasing the official translation for volume 3 next week and we'll be talking about it on the Elf Bride Discord server.
