did some research and the reception for the manga on the Japanese side is rather positive and the series is considered a niche. Its not all that popular but those who do read it praise it as refreshing and innovative. Idk if that's enough for the publishers tho, but it has it's fans. Whether it's being axed or not is still not known. Tbh, this might've been the author's own decision. They didn't want to drag out the story with too much side quest and decided to speedrun them which kinda fits the premise of the series. So from what I've seen the story is fine for now
