Yeah, I was kind of suspicious of this being an axe, and was wondering if it might end up being the penultimate run instead. Like the ending of this run is where they learn the truth/secrets about the looping mechanism that've been teased, and the next loop is the one they finally complete with all the relevant knowledge. I'd be surprised to see the next loop take as long as this one (chapterwise), though.

We seem to be in a bit of the pickle. If they reset, the demon king most likely knows everything now so even if they super speedrun all the demon king has going into hiding for a bit or set up a multitude of traps among other things. I wouldn't be surprised if the demon that helped them is killed by the demon king / is hunted down.
