I get the teacher, it depends on the student how will they learn from it or will they have empathy to the lower class society just like Tsukasa felt, he is a kind person and down to earth from his young age despite his respected, well known family background for many generations.

I like where this is headed, two descendant of mythical figures who want nothing to do with the roles they're being forced into. I wonder what they will do when pushed further...maybe tear down centuries of tradition? "Wrecking the beans" could be some interesting foreshadowing.

That's the key words "over generations" and "innate ability". To move to better standing it takes several generation means what the class show is true cause they are in one generation they can't move social class. Abilities are based on luck like the lottery draw for cookies and where they sit, it's like that story from the bible about talents. Thus the teacher is not retarded as you say, in fact you just reinforced that her teaching is valuable and hit some truths
It still seems like a senseless lesson.
There's no reason to be mad about a difference in innate qualities, we're all different. There's also no reason to be mad about a difference in gained abilities. We live in an age with unprecedented levels of social mobility and opportunity. There are numerous avenues for a poor kid with some quality deficit to gain those qualities and not necessarily become the best, but at least eek out a good living.

Maybe if you are in western countries, but not everywhere in the world is like that. Japan still has a rigid structure and harder to move. Some countries discriminate certain group stopping them to get into better position
And while you say "no reason to be mad about a difference in innate qualities" we are human get jealous and envious is normal as they are the driving force to be better and better our lives. You can't say that everyone is kumbaya and content with themselves, let's be real and see around how many people join in the rat race of society if not because disatisfaction of the social difference.
Anyway the moral of the lesson isn't about instilling anger of difference in once situation but the fact that difference exist since the beginning and they must realised it then act on it. Many don't realised this and treat everyone equally without thinking about others circumstances leading to things like "Let them eat cake" moments (Ik it's a fake history quote but I use it just to make example).
