i love seeing genuinely good parents in manga when most of the time they're either absent or horrible people lol but not only that his dad is so whomesome wtf. the fact that his dad probably understands that since inuboshi is adopted he probably inherently feels more guilty accepting expensive gifts and his dad doesn't want to be overbearing by forcing these expensive gifts onto him and goes about it in probably the best way possible by saving the money to give later. his dad also went out of his way to read the books inuboshi reads to get to know his adopted kid better which is so heartwarming on top of the fact that he managed to teach inuboshi a much needed lesson and something he needed to hear which was it's okay to accept other people's help and he doesn't need to do everything on his own while also framing the lesson in a way where inuboshi is most likely to resonate with by telling im accepting is also a type of power. i haven't even mentioned the fact that his dad went to go buy all inuboshi's books back as well.
i didnt mean to rant but idk i just really liked this chapter, thanks for the translation.
