I work in an international field, and while our English is not bad, it's true that those with English as their mother tongue (especially USans tbh ^^) tend to hog the conversation and be kinda patronizing. Not in a mean way, generally, just kind of main character syndrome. So it's good to have the manga address this.

i'm really interested in ayanda's insistence on using english despite being south african since so many diff languages are spoken there i wonder if the author will touch on english being seen as like a "status symbol" or maybe touch on south african v mainstream american english
