If only the son-in-law can inherit the throne, why is the mother on the throne? Shouldn't it be her husband (son-in-law of the previous generation)? Even the 1st page makes no sense.

Pure speculation, but I think they co-rule and pass on the throne when their husband dies, which is why alice tries to turn him into a vampire.

Don't expect any consistency though. The mother demands a son in law while interrupting them.

the author knew how to draw just well enough to hang themselves by making the chain on the cover make her knee and leg look weird at a glance i wonder if it didn't make it just because of that

I _think_ I have figured out why this was cancelled.

It's...neither good, nor easy to follow. It's as if the author was told "bang out one volume in a few weeks, and make it kick ass", and decided that cocaine was the answer.

@magicchicken Alice went to the human world to make an heir, and didn't know how to have kids.
The mother gave Alice a swimsuit to seduce her son, then beat him up when she thought he made a move
Alice gets in compromised situations when she can simply suck out magic power

the list goes on and on. It's so inconsistent and awful that cocaine is giving the author too much credit. It's like some combination of krokodil, khat, and ayahuasca.

But I'm still going to do the next 2 chapters lol.

@mmscans
"combination of krokodil, khat, and ayahuasca."
Alternatively, brake fluid, mescal, Mr. Sheen, and a concussion. ;)

You're a trooper. Shine on you crazy diamond.
