It's... kind of hard to tell, honestly. I bought the volume when it released earlier this year and enjoyed it. It didn't feel catapulted into an ending at least. I guess everyone will be able to tell soon enough.

I answered this on Reddit already, but I'll copy the answer here for the sake of people who just read on Mangadex:

So, the line was deliberately translated the way it was and I went over a few revisions in my head before deciding. The line in the original work was 東京（こっち）に帰ってこないか？

帰る is often understood, especially by beginner Japanese users, to mean "go/come home", but it more generally means "return to someplace, particularly to a place where we often see each other." Salesmen 帰る to the office after a sales call, for example.

The reason I translated it as "back home to Tokyo", despite that not being Mako-chan's intention, and not really necessary in English, is that it caught me off-guard for a couple seconds, it clearly caught Alice off-guard, and I wanted to catch the English readers off guard as well.

(Also, it stands to reason that from Mako-chan's point of view, she says "Come home to Tokyo", since Tokyo is where she met Alice and where they spend most of their time together.)
