Wooow, I've actually quite enjoyed this little gem.
For the newcomer, think of it as a somewhat more shallow Evangelion, that makes up in suggestion what it lacks on insight. Full of cute girls, especially Yuri Otani who I just want to squeeze and tell I'll protect her until the end of time. Also full of annoying highlighted words, though.

I recommend starting with the ova tend going back to the manga it makes the first few chapters flow much better personally

This manga was a mess, but an enjoyable one. The ova was way better, it's a shame it ended where it did.

I like the art and world-building but the writing feels stiff. Maybe I'm missing something?

An all-timer. A friend of mine compared how this series feels to an open window on a freezing cold night. I completely agree.
