That was quite visceral.

I'm liking it thus far. That was one fabulous alien. Kudos to Mei the goat for... just never stopping those headbutts.

The alien's design look like Kamen Rider Shin.

This has it, whatever "it" is. This is friggin' awesome!! It is awakening the starry-eyed child and middle-aged man deep within me, at once, even though I'm neither. It feels like something that will fill the Ping Pong Peril-shaped hole in our hearts: dumb fun and more. I am so locked in right now: I almost never get hype over manga, but holy crap, I get it...

I wonder how Baki-inspired this will be. What is it with hyper-masculine manga men and having ki, the kanji for "teeth" in their names?

Stupidly hype hypeness aside, this is just well-executed. The mangaka seems to really understand how to make comedy work (laser hands, naked men, "I'm gonna be a fisherman!"), do flashbacks that are perfectly long, and tug at our heartstrings with cleverly-sequenced events. This is probably what I mean by "it."
