Wait a minute they're playing KOF02UM, that's Kasumi vs Seth on page 6 and then the CPU is using K9999/Nameless on page 10. I knew it looked familiar, but the author used a bit of Heavy D!'s design on Seth and it was throwing me off.

Edit: Also on page 9 Kasumi's stand in uses Kensou's Senkyuutai for the final move.

She is modeled after a real person (see chapter 1. Maybe an actress or an idol).

Exactly. He had a bunch of merch and statues of the same looking person. He got a sex bot either used for that and/or converted into a companion. She was made to appear like a real idol and I’d bet that was never legal to do so she was kept hidden in his collection. When she was practicing her smile it was to look like that idol too.

I was a little confused at the comments from the last few chapters debating who she was based on as it was right out in the open from chapter one. Maybe there is more mystery to her but the idol part looks directly addressed.

Nice catch! I'm not big into fighting games so I just thought they were playing some generic fighter, but you're right, the UI looks like an exact match and the moves seem to line up decently. Pretty cool!
