I feel like this has to be a reference to a million things but I'm just lost.

@Aretheus this is full of war movie references. I'll list a few by the movie as it will be faster.

Apocalypse Now (1979)
- The manager with his head just poking out of the water (ch3 pg 11).

Platoon (1986)
- The Manager is based off of Tom Berenger character Sgt. Barnes.
- After the night shift (night battle) when the Part-Timer fly's out on the helicopter it’s a reference to how Charlie Sheen's character (Chris) leaves at the end of the movie.
- The Manager holding the pizza box overhead is how we last see Sgt. Elias (Willem Dafoe) as he is left behind to be killed by the VC.

Full Metal Jacket (1987)
- The Helmet 'Born to Sell' is 'Born to Kill' in the movie.
- The quote "Anyone who runs ..." in the movie "Anyone who runs is a VC. Anyone who stands still is a well disciplined VC."

Black Hawk Down (2001)
- The RPG hitting the tail of the helicopter, a Black Hawk, and the way it crashes.

I think the General of the Eastern Army is a reference to George S. Patton, I may be wrong.

Blawson Arrow is a reference to Broken Arrow a plot device in the film We Were Soldiers (2002) and Platoon (1986) as well as a number of war movies. It really just means to have your own side bomb the hell out of you to kill the enemy. Head over to YouTube and search PLATOON: Air Strike and We Were Soldiers Broken Arrow.

As someone who's worked in retail, I can confirm that this is pretty much what it's like even outside of a warzone
