I'm hoping they're playing dead as the mercenary said "what a waste" and "they need retraining". Almark possibly already ambushed the forward party and have servants of the house play dead to ambush the rest. That's why the assault is not yet depicted. It'd be recounted from Almark's perspective next chapter.

Fingers crossed. I really like the butler.

Nope. This will be all melee combat from our MC. One can argue that a kid merc shouldn't be able to take them all out but I just like it for the hack and slash. I don't think too deeply on it.

I know expecting zero casualties would be unrealistic considering the enemies are hardened mercenaries, but dang, even the servants.

Killing even the servants was unfortunately normal IRL and they've been explicitly hired to "cause trouble", in other words cause as much damage as possible.

I checked out the raw for chapter 17-19, this will be heavy spoiler for the encounter. Mind you, I don't read Japanese, so this is just based on the visuals.

Wendy was distraught when she learned of the impending attack. She overexerting her magic to create copies of her servants from various furniture in the house. Before she ran out of power, Almark reminded her to create one of herself as well. Afterward, Almark fought his way through to the leader. At the confrontation, the leader recognized Almark. They fought, he won. The butler said something that make Almark and his friend a bit upset. But after some more talks they seems to come to an agreement and the butler thanks Almark and the friend. BTW, the soldiers did died. Wendy was already straining to maintain the servants' doppelgangers.
