so like... how does ANYONE get through these things? The only reason they've made it so far is because the lawyer is extraordinary, and they got help from a literal god. The main dude himself doesn't seem particularly sinful or benevolent, he was just kinda average. You'd think the "average" man would have an easier time of it.
