I just think instead of making that mediocre mess that was Violet Evergarden, KyoAni should have made another season of Amagi, considering their adaption of Kobayashi was very successful as well. They were always adepts at adaption, their works on their novel project had been very hit and miss .

@duylinh if memory serves me right, didnt the first season end anti-climactic, with Latifa recovering from the disease at the end of the first goal? Would it be hard to pick up where the original source intended?

Never read the LN so not sure how true to source the anime was.

Haven't read any further just yet, but these couple chapters here make it obvious: They couldn't show Mackey, because he would look too much like Mickey. In the LN,

Doing it this way still makes a lot of sense, though.
