I did like the premise better when it was one underdog using just his inborn primal instincts and clevernesss (along with his physique) to win these fights. He was always fated to lose, but squeezed out a win regardless.

Now he's basically the terminator. He just kills armed yakuza like it's literally nothing, they're barely able to slow him down.
I mean, this is still great, but whereas the earlier story had realism, this doesn't anymore. He's the last hobo from krypton, hellbent on the destruction of Yakuza :p

Bro no spoilers but from reading raws the other half of this arc is straight up a punisher comic including a kingpin like villain with actual soldiers

He killed the 7 weaklings in chapter 1 easily without any cleverness, and these specific Yakuza guys are clearly supposed to be bottom-list fodder like them - much weaker than the military-esque units MC killed earlier.

Not the first time, he could've done it when they rescued Mitsuki and Fincher from the brother and his gang and didn't. I guess Ojiro feels more comfortable with his homebrew.
