Thoroughly enjoyed this read, although I would have been interested in different couplings (Hazuki making things difficult for me lolol).
I felt like at times it was too heteronormative, as in "I am a boy therefore I like girls", and "I'm a girl so that is why I might be developing feelings for a guy" etc. Since the author was the one writing the characters in the first place I feel like it would have been possible to write a gay character that actually gets a romance. There are two separate characters who have pining crushes on their friends and both basically have the same character arc and one could have been a little different at least.

The development is really interesting until the last 10 or so chapters which I felt were a rushed end. Even if the result is the same it would have felt better if it had a little more time to settle things and feel satisfactory. Some characters didn't really seem to have a conclusive arc in comparison to others.

But it's a solid coming of age regardless.

I liked it. There were some plot points that could have been written better, but overall it ended satisfactorily.
I liked the distinction that the author made sure to make clear: that Touma fell in love with Hazuki, not just Tsukiko. That made it clear that this manga is about identity and self, not about the boundaries of gender and sex. That's why even if all the couples did end up being boy-girl, it doesn't feel heteronormative.

It was a rollercoaster of emotions, I was on the edge of my seats, thrilled to see how the characters would develop with every passing chapters, and then it just... ended. For a manga with such a rich and creative premise, the story and development turned out to be so monotone, and the rushed last volume, which broke the amazing pacing the manga had, didn’t help one bit.

I’m fine with the way it ended, the manga did deliver a good lesson about accepting yourself, and I really loved all the subtlety, chemistry between the main characters and world building the manga had going for it. But I can’t help but think about all the wasted potential and characters’ development that could’ve been more conclusive. Maybe it’d be better if there were another volume, but that’s not a good way of thinking.

Nonetheless, it’s still a very good shoujo. It‘s sweet, it’s short but it could have been better, who knows

10/10 Beautiful! I would recommend.

I understand there are some comments complaining about the ending, but honestly we also need to realise that it's not really the author's fault. It might be a decision the author had no control over, so I'm just glad this series has concluded nicely. It has been a wonderful read: really great art and storytelling, world-building, pacing and development with distinct and likable characters.

pretty solid story overall but the fact that one of the main's love interest was literally a 10/11 year old girl kinda rubbed me the wrong way. i mostly skipped over those parts bc they made me uncomfortable. i also didn't like how the girl's existence just "disappeared" after. like sure they were painted as exchange students but it just didn't feel conclusive to me.

Eh, she's 11-12 and he's 15-16. It's really weird, but it's not like they're dating.
