This au side story thing is really jarring and kills the pacing of this manga. I can't see how this could somehow further the actual plot and it doesn't really tell us anything about the characters feelings that we don't already know. This should've been released as some kind of extra to the manga rather than a block of chapters that are basically irrelevant.
