The princess did everything but dance a jig when she heard Vil wasn't engaged anymore.

Slave girl - check
Heroine - check
Princess - check
Betrayed trope by family or party member - check and check
Sadly I dont find anything interesting from start to finish. Everything happened so fast and the general direction of the story is text book harem power fantasy.

Yeehaw, the most valuable asset in the country's history got cucked (new variant).

Now I have 22 series that start with "Tsuihou sareta".

Ill be honest, these are a kind of guilty pleasure for me.
I just scroll past the boring generic op self insert doormat protag slop and just look for the karma that is sure to befall the dumbasses that do the betrayal/exile to get some schadenfreude out of it from time to time. I dont think ive properly read on of these in atleast a year

For a moment there, I thought this was isekai slop.

But no, it's just fantasy slop without the setup of the MC being a hard working black company salaryman. Instead he's a fantasy world hard working kingdom salaryman.

And he loses his mid looking cheating fiancee only to net a harem of women. Oh no, poor guy.

I rolled my eyes when I read that his hammer is called Mjölnir.
Of all the hammers the author could've given him, it's the one that's associated with the God of Thunder, Lightning and Agriculture.

So is there like a set of plot flashcards that LN/WN writers all get assigned at their slop publishing house?

Because he seems to be the workaholic type, who only bothers with his own work and nothing else, aka., like a typical Japanese office drone.

I mean, if you leave your fiancee alone just after her father died with the excuse that you had to manage the store to stop it from collapsing, then you seriously have some issues.

How much time per day would it have taken to manage the store realistically. He could have easily went and looked after his fiancee after store closing hours. Is he saying that he also gave-up his night and sleep to save the store? That's kind-off unrealistic in this Medieval setting.

Plus, it's standard in many regions to close down the store for a few days if the Owner of the store had expired even if it's in financial crisis.

And if you don't want to waste time by not even taking part in mourning and supporting your fiancee through her grief just because of work, then it's more of a skill issue than something else.
Actually, working into the night as a blacksmith IS pretty realistic for a medieval setting - they did everything for a community and were often the only ones who realistically COULD keep doing their jobs at night.

But in this context, Manning the store, maintaining items brought in or under contract, actually making the things to sell, on top of taking over the business and having to go around to all the old clients. It sounds like her dad did all the business stuff which he suddenly had to do on top of the smithing. All quite possibly orchestrated by them as an excuse to kick him out.

So the brother who had to work hard to become a skilled smithy is the villain; and the brother who was literally born with all the talent, and pampered by his relatives because of it, is the MC?

I really don't get Japan's love of having MC's that have everything handed to them;
  • Work hard to become talented? Nah, they're just born/isekai'd/blessed with it.
  • Work hard for love? Nah, she'll just see your unearned talent and immediately fall in love with you... she'll also love your bland, every-man, MC personality.
  • Work hard at all? Debatable, since all effort put in often seems to be presented in a lackadaisical way, or they're outright saying they're living a lazy 'slow life'. Can you even say they're working hard when everything seems to be given to them on a golden platter? I've read a bit into the next chapter and MC literally hammers a new leg right onto the girl... that's right, he forges her flesh, blood, and bone with a single strike!

This isn't to say stories shouldn't be written with these types of characters, but they don't ever seem to really develop in any sort of way - being perfect as they are already. They seem to thumb their nose at character progression, and standard story progression. The issue is the prevelance of these types of MC's and stories...

...I'll still read this because I have trash taste, but I want you all to know that I'm able to discern it's trash! :dogkek:
