if it's going at any speed no animal is going to have a good time, but maybe a "lucky" hit at suburban speeds could be survivable. I'm pulling this out of my ass though

Depends on the several factors, ie relative sizes of the animal vs vehicle and speed of vehicle, but semi trucks do kill moose and those weight twice as much as a Gorilla. Now factor in the speed limit of 60 kph/ 37 mph for that road and I think a big gorilla could survive the hit.
