Ah, this is conflicting. On the one hand, as the person who was unfaithful (though I've never cheated, but just putting myself in their shoes), I'd feel bad continuing on with my affair partner, honestly. Even if I somehow managed to quell the fear that I might lose them how I got them, I don't think I could live down the shame of how we got together, not with them next to me. But at the same time, I think I'd want to confirm whether I was just trying to escape my circumstances at home or if the comfort I felt with them was because of them.

Also, thinking about being cheated on, I'm reminded those lyrics from Action Bronson's "Baby Blue", at the end of Chance The Rapper's verse: "
I hope you happy, I hope you happy
I hope you ruined this shit for a reason, I hope you happy". It would both hurt worse and be easier to move on if they just found someone else they loved, not just that they were running away from you.

This manga is nothing if not full of reasons people have affairs, but I guess time will tell if they were only there for each other in a difficult time to make them reconsider what they really needed or wanted, or if it was love.
