interesting that they're already kind of having problems being on the same page. i feel like the author is trying to show the difference between normal adult circumstances that come up in every day life that make finding time for intimacy more difficult, and what had happened in their previous relationships where the romance completely vanished. Niina still wants to see her no matter how tired he is, and is just so used to all the excuses that he starts talking himself out of coming over before she even says anything.
