I feel like some of you are being a bit hard on Nozomi here, not really acknowledging the progress she made in this chapter. Sure it's not as substantial as actually finally opening up to Shino, but she's finally seeing it as a legitimate option. This entire time she's seen Shino as someone to protect and care for, which is great and all, but it's prevented her from being able to rely on her in a way to help her deal with her grief. Their relationship is great and strong and everything, but Nozomi has mostly been putting all her energy into making a good, happy life for Shino exactly so she doesn't have to confront her grief fully. But with Heidi's gentle pushing, and Shino's insistence she's admitted to both Shino and more importantly herself that she's willing to talk about it, albeit in the future, which is still a big bit of progress when it comes to dealing with something as painful as she is here.
