Well, it's true that you will have to get separated from everyone at some point. You are alone after all, and so do I. Your parents will die someday. Your siblings will have their own families and stuff they're worrying about more than they do to you. Your friends might be the same as your siblings, having their own lives.... And some of them may even stab you in the back one day. Lovers can cheat on you or die earlier. Your kids will one day grow up and leave their nest, not worrying about your pitiful existence anymore.

Even if you do manage to stay together all your life, once death comes, you will get separated from that person you're always together with, whether you want that to happen or not. Accept it: you are alone, always was, and will always be. You only have yourself to rely on (and maybe God.... That's if you do believe in God. If not, well.... You truly are alone then).

I guess this chapter showed Nozomi that even if her lil sweetie sister will go to college, they can still keep in touch etc? I mean, everyone knows that intellectually, but I guess the trust part doesn't come easy.
