I don't think they need to elope, unlike that couple they've already pretty much broken up with their parents, and their occupations(eroge mangaka in his case) aren't really affected by their relationship. And both have pretty much made up their minds(she to being with him, and him being a mangaka) despite their parents disagreeing. In the end they can only yell so much so why bother...
