Oddly the Lieutenant seems to be a spoof of Sleggar Law (voiced by Tesshou Genda and Makio Inoue respectively in the TV and movie versions of Mobile Suit Gundam) rather than any of the Gundam characters Seki voiced. That said I assume the Shining Magnum is referencing Domon's Shining Finger (which is extra fitting considering Shimamoto did character designs for G Gundam and would later do a manga remake of it).
