Now I'm a bit worried about MangaDex...
Say, is there any way to ehem, download manga? At least I can back those up and fit in my hard drive cause storing anime takes up a lot of space.

We need to kill Crunchyroll with hammer
I don't understand this sentiment. I can understand not wanting to give your money to CR, but I don't really get why you'd want to ruin it for someone else.

It's an impossible trinity. You can have two of the following for your source of anime:
Stable/Consistent
Convenient
Free

If you want free anime, which of the other two will you give up? Either keep chasing sites that are going to keep getting shut down, or go full eyepatch and start pulling down torrents. Personally, I'd rather just pay for a service that doesn't require me to have massive amounts of storage, or navigate dodgy websites, or reset all my bookmarks twice a year.

I understand there are problems with the legal streaming market. Everyone wants a slice of pie, so if you want to watch everything this season you'll need subscriptions to a half-dozen services. CR's recent use of AI for subtitles is a bad direction. The Ishuzoku Reviewers debacle was absurd but will probably happen again. With services unexpectedly pulling down parts of their back catalogs, who knows how long it'll be before some licensed anime start disappearing. HOWEVER, I have no interest in going back to the same methods that I was using two decades ago, or spending the time and energy that took. And so I will trade some of my money each month for the privilege of just being able to sit back after work and watch an episode or two without making any effort beyond turning on the TV. If today I had to work as hard to watch anime as I did 20 or 25 years ago, I wouldn't still be watching anime. Your milage may vary.

Something that Panda may remember is how we had to use videotapes to record the series/films we weren't able to watch because of life and sleep (or ask someone else to press the record button if we couldn't). Even with bad official subtitles and unreasonable censorship, without someone doing it we would need to either learn Japanese (I don't recommend doing that only for being an otaku, the amount of time needed is not worth that little) or wait for fansubs (or helping them) for eventually have the episodes/films. And no, with the region lock is not worth having an account if you don't live in USA/Canada/UK.

Yes hunt down those sites so that no one will buy anime anymore, or rather the JP is doing the world a lot of good by eradicating anime around the world so that their ntr, boipucci and loli will be JP only.

Many countries loves to self destruct since WWII. They are like trying to make the water into oil, an impossibility.
