Anohana will always hold a bit of a special place in my heart. The anime series was one of the first truly emotional anime I ever watched way back when I was in middle school. Before that I only watched the stereotypical shonen fighting anime, stuff light on the feelings and heavy on the flashy combat. This and Your Lie in April opened me up to a new world of media I hadn't seen before, but for some reason I could never finish the series. I still haven't to this day. Yesterday it popped back up into my head and, having only two days left of summer break before having to return to university, I decided to see if it had a manga version. I read through the first half of it last night and the rest this morning, and it's brought me close to tears several times. I'm truly glad I finally decided to experience it to the end. It's a beautiful story.
